Fields of Battle

Fields of Battle

Fields of Battle, Lands of Peace 14-18 is a photographic exhibition depicting the First World War battlefields as they are today.

Staged as an outdoor “street gallery” the project seeks to introduce the general public, many of whom might never visit a museum or art gallery, to the subject of the First World War through via emotive contemporary landscape images and supporting captions by photographer and battlefield guide Michael St Maur Sheil.

Sponsored by The Royal British Legion, and by kind permission of the Royal Parks, the gallery is to be launched officially by HRH The Duke of Kent KG in St James's Park on August 4th. It will remain in place until Armistice Day.
