Batley School of Art

BA(Hons) Fine Art for Design students will be showcasing their annual work in progress exhibition 'S I L E N C E' at Dewsbury Museum, Crow Nest Park.
This year the work produced by the students respectfully and inventively acknowledges the Centenary of WW1.

The works on display take their inspiration from war poetry and literature, communication methods, contemplative and commemorative remembrance, camouflage and the solemnity of trenches as a place of vulnerability.

In addition we are thrilled to announce that the exhibition will also feature uniform sculpture by Paddy Hartley from his WW1 Gillies Archives series 'Project Facade'.
