At the heart of Appleby Magna the famous Grade I listed building and fabulous grounds create an evocative atmosphere for a wide range of live performances and events, brought to you by the Sir John Moore Foundation.

Seventeenth century school building, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Sir William Wilson. Many original architectural features from the seventeeth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries remain. Heritage centre features a reconstructed dormitory, school room and headmaster's office from 1891 as well as a community gallery containing archaological artefacts from the site and local area. Extensive document archive including letters, accounts and registers from throughout the building's history.
