Castle Drogo

Wander around our stunning new exhibitions which tell the stories of Castle Drogo and explore new rooms, never before open to the public. You’ll also be able to see the building work in progress and get closer than ever before to our precious treasures, now displayed in brand new ways.

Stretch your legs in the gardens, perfect for a summer picnic. There’s plenty to see from the colourful rhododendron valley and rose gardens to the quaint Bunty House (Wendy House) complete with its own miniature garden.

Below the castle you can follow the winding paths into the sheltered Teign Valley. Explore this ancient gorge, teeming with wildlife as you follow the trails along the roaring river.

Recharge at the café with a traditional Devon cream tea or tuck into a slice of cake. At our gift shop and plant centre you can pick up a wide range of plants, books, cards and locally produced food.
