Riot and Politics - Cityread 2016 legacy event

Shakespeare wrote Coriolanus after food riots in 1608. Gillian Slovo wrote Ten Days inspired by the 2011 riots. Featuring two theatre directors who have worked on Shakespeare’s play, this event explores themes of order and disorder, policing and the pursuit of power. This event celebrates Shakespeare 400 and Cityread 2016
