The Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology is a registered charity that aims to promote greater awareness, interest and understanding of all aspects of the Cultural Heritage of Lincolnshire past and present.

The Society Office and Bookshop is located in a wonderful 12th century building in the heart of historic Lincoln. The bookshop is extensively stocked with new and second-hand books with a strong focus on Lincolnshire titles including many produced by the Society. A lively and diverse programme of events including talks, lectures, visits, family events and more is organised by the Society. Charges may apply for some of the events but everyone is very welcome to attend.

Investigate Roman artefacts and enjoy 'hands-on' craft activities with a Roman theme. Paint your own mini fresco, design a mosaic pattern, create sparkly Roman style jewellery and make a laurel wreath.

Waggons, Wheels and Windmills
