GM1914 is a partnership project with archives and local studies collections throughout the Greater Manchester area.

Research and discoveries will be shared via the GM1914.wordpress blog and each of the partners is working on their own collections to highlight aspects of the impact of World War One in their area.

Manchester Archives flickr photostream also contains a set of 3,000 images from the Documentary Photographic Collection relating to WW1.

The Greater Manchester County Record Office is closed to the public until the archives reopen as part of Archives+ at Central Library, Manchester in Spring 2014. The blog and flickr photstream is available online. Partner archives remain open. Please contact n.crewe@manchester.gov.uk for further information.
