The Great War Society is a non-profit living history organisation based in the UK.

The Society's volunteer members seek to commemorate and honour the sacrifices of the men and women of the Great War period.

This is done through accurate representation of military units that were engaged in the conflict. The Society attends a variety of public events across the UK including events sponsored by English Heritage, Historic Royal Palaces, Museums and charities.

The Great War Society is a nationwide organisation that has no single geographical base. Our members travel to events held in locations across the United Kingdom, France and Belgium.

The Great War Society is a living history group that visits various locations country-wide including the Black Country Living Museum, Wrest Park and the Tower of London.

Learn how the rail network supported the mobilisation of the British Expeditionary Force, and how light railways on the Western Front supported the soldiers in the trenches. A chance to meet and talk to the infantry and medical units of the Great War Society.
