Oxford House (Oh!) is a community and art centre in the heart of London's East End. Oh! was originally established in 1884 by Keble College and the University of Oxford to provide a centre of religious, social and educational work among the poor of East London.

Today Oh! works to become known as the place where community & voluntary sector groups, arts organisations and social businesses come to work, learn, explore, create and celebrate.

Your Wildest Wildling Competition- Chelsea Fringe Festival 2014 at Oxford House in Bethnal Green

As a part of The Chelsea Fringe Festival 2014 at Oxford House, we’re organising a photographic competition open to any child (with a little help from their mums and dads!) and any primary school. What we are looking for are photos of wild flowers, weeds and plants that you find in the most unexpected places. Send us a print and you might even win a prize!

Or simply share it on Instagram using the hashtag #ohwildling but remember that only prints will be considered for prizes. Your photo will be displayed in a live exhibition that will grow as the entries come in!

Send your picture to Oxford House, Derbyshire Street, Bethnal Green, London E2 6HG. Please write contact details on the back of the print and the location where the photo was taken and marked the envelope “PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION”. The competition closing date is 16th May 2014 and on the 22nd of May we will announce the winners at Oxford House at 4pm.

Artist-led workshops with Hilary O'Mahony

Artist-led workshops with Hilary O' Mahony is a fun, creative and engaging programme for primary school children from the local area, where the artist and children will converse on equal terms. Hilary is an Irish artist living and working in the east end. She's interested in urban landscapes and will use the city as a backdrop to inform the workshop sessions. The theme will be explored through colour, shape and texture.
