“Change” Exhibition By ThinkArts!

“Change” Exhibition By ThinkArts!

  • 3 — 31 July 2014 *on now

Thinkarts! is a service user led arts group which participates in art to contribute to the on-going wellness of its members. All the members at some point in their lives have experienced mental health problems and enjoy using art as a form of self-expression for its therapeutic attributes.

Together they act as a collective of artists for exhibitions and have experience of working together to deliver a large scale exhibition.

For their exhibition at OH! they decide to interpret the theme of “Change”. The use of a broad concept, such as this one, allows artists a more free interpretation bringing them to think about different kinds of change such as the changing seasons, the life changes and political changes.

There will be an opening event on the 4th of July at 4pm which will include the theatre show “Normal?”, a theatre production written by Ann Akin that centres on the theme of mental health told through a sibling relationship.

The show will start at 5 pm and it will include an introduction, a film screening and discussion about mental health. No fee is requested for this show.
