The manor house on the Brockhampton Estate, Herefordshire.

Romantic medieval moated manor house on Herefordshire / Worcestershire borders.

14th-century great hall with an immense, locally-timbered roof. Lovely crooked gatehouse and ruined Norman chapel. Miles of park and woodland to explore, with a rich variety of wildlife, from dormice to buzzards. See the wooden sculptures on woodland walks.

Evening Health Walks

  • 2 September 2014 6-7pm

The 'Walking for Health' scheme is intended for those who are unfit or have been recommended to take more exercise to improve their health. Routes will vary around the Brockhampton estate and will take approximately one hour at a pace to suit all levels of fitness.

Warren Farm Dig Up Your Dinner

  • 6 September 2014 9am-2pm

On this half day course, discover the amazing vegetable patch on our farm and learn about our veg box scheme. Then pick and dig for your lunch.

Sturdy footwear and coat (depending on the weather). Digging and cooking equipment provided.

Price: £40.00 per person which includes guidance and tuition in growing and cooking your lunch plus morning coffee and cake.

Brockhampton Country Show

  • 6 — 7 September 2014 10am-5pm

Set in 1,700 acres of open parkland, traditional orchards, working farmland and ancient woodland.

Located at Lower Brockhampton, there will be a working area presenting old country crafts including threshing, baling and blacksmithing.

In addition to this there will be woodworking skills, making products from the forest using ancient tools; with demonstrations of fence making, logging, and use of a 'wood miser'. As well as steam engines, shire horses, vintage tractors and Lorries on show.

Heritage Open Days 2014: Brockhampton Estate

  • 13 September 2014

A beautiful 1700-acre estate of traditional farmland, ancient woodland parkland set around a medieval moated manor house. Since July the whole manor house is open to the visitors, explore its long history and its people. Experience the Great Hall where feasts and celebrations have been held throughout the centuries. Learn about the last owner of Brockhampton, Colonel Lutley, who bequeathed the estate to the Trust in 1946. Enjoy the peace and tranquility as you sit by the moat, pick damsons from the orchard or explore miles of walks, a rich variety of wildlife and stunning scenery.

Brock-athon Great Walk

  • 21 September 2014 10am-1:30pm

Starting at 10am join our Ranger Nick Hinchliffe on a challenging mixed terrain, 5 mile circular walk. Covering designed parkland, ancient woodlands and traditional orchards.

Hear about the estates history and ecology and enjoy amazing views around every corner.

Or join us for a shorter guided walk. Starting at 11.30am, this less challenging walk will take you to parts of the estate only accessible by foot. Take in the scenic views and beautiful early autumn colours.
