Ghostly Evenings at Hoghton Tower

As you ascend the long drive of reputedly the third most haunted house in Britain we will be waiting for you. A glass of mulled wine to take away the chill prepares you for what is to follow. Silent torchbearers guide you through the darkened halls of the Tower, where you will encounter spectres from the past who regale you with ghostly happenings from across the centuries.

Ladies and gentlemen! Hoghton Tower cordially requests the honour of your presence to discover the life of one of its most famous visitors. A warm welcome drink before the open log fire sets the scene for a tour of the house with intriguing new insights into the thoughts and actions of one of Britain’s least-known monarchs, together with fascinating details of his visit to Hoghton and the fine foods of the famous banquet in his honour at the Tower. Finally, dine in the magnificent and imposing Banqueting Hall where James I himself feasted, and share in the celebrated loin of beef and the opportunity to quiz our expert guides.
