Hoghton Tower is one of Lancashire’s gems. A Tudor – Elizabethan manor and the ancestral home of the de Hoghton family, the Tower stands proudly on its hill overlooking the surrounding countryside. Join a guided tour of the panelled state rooms. Stroll through the beautiful walled gardens and take in the views. Kids will love the underground passages, the ramparts, dungeons and Dolls House collection. Browse the gift shop and finish your day out in the tea room. Each month, come to our Farmers Market. Private party venue and accommodation on site. All income benefits the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust.

Opening hours

11am-5pm most bank holidays and Sundays to Thursday between July and September. Private and school tours year round with prior booking. Venue hire and accommodation year round.

Gift Aid Admission charges apply for grounds admission and guided tours. Separate charges for events in grounds.
Private hire and accommodation bookable in advance.

Creepy Crawlies at Hoghton Tower

The Creepy Crawly workshops teach children and grown-ups to appreciate all creatures great and small, no matter how many legs they do or don’t have!

We wonder what creatures you might find in and around the Tower today…

This is an indoor event so don’t worry about the weather!

Drop in anytime after 11:00, we will be closing at 16:00.

£4.00 per child, per session. Adults free!

Admission for house tours: adults £8.00, children and concessions £6.00.
