Festival of archaeology at Castell Coch

  • 18 — 20 July 2015

Excavate mysterious medieval artefacts at Castell Coch for this years British Festival of Archaeology. Join us in reconstructing the Victorian archaeological excavations of the castle in the 1800s by G.T. Clarke to uncover the castle's rich and vibrant past. Practice Victorian archaeological methods that are still used to this day to discover, record and learn about medieval treasures.

Audiences can also join tours led by the castle's custodians to explore the castle's evolution from Norman Motte and Bailey to Victorian gothic extravaganza.
