Admission by guided tour. Last admission 1hr before closing. Tours take place hourly throughout the day in 2006 on Thur 6 Apr, Thur 1 June, Sat 8 July, Thur 10 Aug and Sat 2 Sept, 10:40 - 4:40.

Force Crag Mine Open Day

With an air of the "Wild West" Force Crag was the last mineral mine to be worked in the Lake District.

Join a guided tour to explore the processing mill and other remains revealing the history of mining at Force Crag.

Please bring Stout foot wear, warm and waterproof clothing and refreshments. At the mine the tour takes place partly outside on rough ground and involves a walk up hill. There are steep narrow steps within the building. Not suitable for children under the age of ten. All youngsters to be accompanied by an adult.
