Heritage Open Days 2014: New Ashgate Gallery

  • 13 September 2014

Once the site of a pub called The Feathers, this building survived the 1960s clearance of the area. The building is now beautifully restored as a highly regarded gallery, run by a Trust dedicated to buying and selling fine art and craft of a high standard. There will be an exhibition running of fine art print-making by the Ochre Print Studio. On the Saturday a drawing by Michael Blower, will be on display, taken from a pre-clearance photographic view from the top of the church tower. It shows the dense cluster of now vanished working buildings and maltings on the Waggon Yard site, there will be accompanying historical information.

Please refer to the Heritage Open Days website for booking details and timings.
