This historic Victorian building, situated just opposite the Royal Pavilion estate in the heart of Brighton’s cultural quarter, was used as a County Court until 1967. It has been fully refurbished, retaining many original features, and is now available for day and evening hire for all kinds of functions. The Old Courtroom also hosts events and lectures by the Royal Pavilion & Museums.

Beyond the Blue

The University of Brighton presents a one-day symposium investigating the neglected story of the history, present and future of natural woad from field to fashion.
This event forms part of the ‘Out of the Blue Waide Project,’ within the framework of the INTERREG IV A France (Channel) – England cross-border European cooperation programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
