Museum relating to the history of the region. Includes geneaological resources, documentation on local issues, maps and information relating to the Ross of Mull. Set in a renovated cottage next to a 17th Century corn mill in the village of Bunessan with parking for up to 6 cars and disabled access. The Centre has a range of local walking guides for sale including information on the history of seven areas on the Ross and a large book combining all districts.
Usually open from April to October, Monday to Friday with weekend visits by prior appointment.

 Admission charges

At present we are able to provide a research service using the material we have available in the Centre. The bare facts and figures can often be expanded by making use of the wealth of knowledge within our community, especially among the older generation who have a great tradition of oral history.

The cost for a basic three hour search through the census records etc is £25.00. Any further work will be charged at £15.00 per hour. We can take payment for this service through PayPal, please contact us for details.
