Honouring the animals who have served in human conflicts

  • 16 May 2014 6-9pm

In 2004, a London monument was dedicated to the gallantry of animals in war. The script reads: " To all the animals that served and died alongside British and Allied Forces in wars and campaigns throughout time. They had no choice" This LightNight, join us at The Olive Tree to honour the animals who have served - and continue to serve - in human conflicts. Throughout the evening we will be offering short Angelic prayers for protection and meditations for peace and an end to all suffering. There is no need to book ahead and although this event is free, we will be accepting donations on behalf of Animal Aid, an organisation that works towards the protection of all animals. This is a LightNight event, Liverpool's one-night arts & culture festival. Part of Museums at Night.. Visit for more details and the full programme.
