Free Friday walks with our volunteers take place each Friday at 11:00am - starting outside the shop and visitor centre at Ilam Park.

Choose from a 1 hour walk route within Ilam Park, or a longer 2 hour walk taking in the local hills and Dovedale. The routes change each week.

No booking required, just turn up. Dogs on leads are very welcome. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Purple Peakland Walk

  • 17 August 2014 10:30am-4:30pm

Walk with the rangers to see the moorland heather at its finest, over the Snake Path, Park Hall Moor and Kinder.

Please bring a packed lunch and drink. You will need to wear walking boots and should have waterproofs with you in case they are needed during the walk.

This event is approximatley 9 miles in length and takes place in open country with rural paths, uneven rough ground which is not accessible for pushchairs, wheelchairs.
