Arlington Court is an impressive Regency house with a vast collections of artefacts from paintings to pewter and ships to shells. Set in grounds of 2700 acres with formal gardens, woodland and a lake it's a walkers paradise. The Carriage Museum holds over 50 pieces reflecting the human journey from the cradle to the grave. The estate is also home to a working stables which runs carriage rides during the main visitor season. The Outdoor team help to care for a wealth of animals including Shetland ponies, Jacob sheep and Red Devon cattle, as well as our colony of bats.

Bat Chats

Get a mini-lesson on bat etiquette. A short talk on the habits and habitat of the bats who live at Arlington. You can spy on the colony of lesser horseshoe bats who inhabit the attics of our Victorian mansion from the safety of the bat cam room.

Festival of Archaeology 2014: Archaeology at Arlington

Discover the past which lies beneath your feet at Arlington Court this summer. Areas of our grounds have had geophysical surveys undertaken and now we can share the exciting results with you. Plus find out where the original Arlington mansion stood and how changes over many years led to its relocation in the early 1800s.

Living history - Summer Garden Party
