The Local Studies and Archives Centre holds local and family history material for the towns of Tameside - Ashton-under-Lyne, Audenshaw, Denton, Droylsden, Dukinfield, Hyde, Longdendale, Mossley and Stalybridge.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: if possible, please request archives at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. We can provide access to archives where no prior booking has been made, but please note that there may be a delay.

Saturday: we are only able to provide access to archives which have been pre-booked. Please ensure your order reaches us by 2pm on the Thursday preceding your visit at the latest.
