The Hill House

The Hill House is considered to be Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s finest domestic creation. Sitting high above the Clyde, it is home to original Mackintosh furniture and interior design and also has attractive formal gardens designed recognisably in the Mackintosh style.

Wheelchair users can park temporarily at the rear of the property. There is limited access at the House, with ramped access to the back of the House. The Drawing Room, Dining Room, Hallway, tearoom and shop are all accessible. No wheelchair access to upper-floor rooms, but a display book and information on all rooms is available on request. The large garden, with gravel paths and some inclines, is partially accessible for wheelchair users with assistance. Accessible toilet is to the back of the property. Braille guidebook and large print information sheets are available.
