Opened to the public in March 2012, the M&S Company Archive houses the Marks in Time exhibition, celebrating the role that M&S has played in people's lives for the last 128 years. Featuring iconic items from the archive collection, the exhibition vividly shows the impact M&S has had on the social history of Britain.
Find out even more about our history in the Research Area; look through our employee magazines dating back to the 1930s or get interactive with our online Store Histories and People Profiles. We also have a Children's Area with games and activities for kids of all ages.
The collection includes staff publications, photographs, films, clothing, household products and advertising material. We have over 70,000 items from the company's history and we’re constantly adding to the collection.
