Twyford Waterworks is a preserved Edwardian water pumping station which provides the complete story of water pumping and supply in the area. It is still also an operational site and the two original wells are in regular use by Southern Water Services to produce some five million gallons of water per day, to supply parts of Eastleigh, Fairoak, Bitterne, West End and Botley.
Exhibits include a variety of engines including steam (currently under restoration), deisel, petrol gas and water plus the story of water supply.
