The South West Image Bank (SWiB) is a community based specialist photography archive managed by our Archivist, and a full time Outreach Officer. SWiB is supported by a team of volunteers who undertake cataloguing and digitisation of the unique photographic archives deposited by members of the public, photographers and local businesses.
We currently hold 167 unique collections from the 1870s to the present day, forming the largest body of photographic records in the region. SWiB also houses a gallery, shop and research suite designed to accommodate all audiences from school groups to academic researchers.
