Beaford Arts

Beaford Arts is the UK’s longest running rural arts organisation and for over 40 years has been commissioning, presenting and promoting arts events in Devon.
The Beaford Arts Residential Centre was established in 1966, based at Greenwarren House. Every year, over a thousand young people and adults participate in residential courses here at Beaford, taking part in a wide spectrum of arts activities both in the centre and the surrounding area.
James Ravilious lived in the community he photographed, and was trusted to photograph all aspects of local life, Beaford hold an archive of his work.
