Spencer Tunick Self-Portrait, Museums at Night 2014

Scope Out: Spencer Tunick

  • 17 May 2014 6:30-11:59pm

This Museums at Night event will involve a very intimate look at Tunick’s practice. His work with 'scopes' (individual miniature viewfinders, like the ones he's is holding in his self-portrait photograph) allows him a more private way of portraying his nude subjects. Working from a location on Folkestone’s coastline the artist is undertaking a mass shoot of quickly taken individual portraits.

On the evening of Saturday 17th May there will be a special event at Georges House Gallery (Strange Cargo), during which the finished artworks will be presented to each participant.
