The records date from the 12th century to the present day and include: - business records, ecclesiastical records, family and estate records, local government records, local public records and records from individuals.

Victorian Voices

Thousands of children were employed in the steel and cutlery industries in Victorian Sheffield and in 1862 a Royal Commission investigated the conditions in the factories where children worked. This resource has children's exact words and phrases recorded for the Commission.
