High Elms Country Park offers 250 acres of countryside to explore combined with a 150-acre golf course, which together form the High Elms Estate, originally the country home of the Lubbock family.Visitors to the estate can enjoy the woodlands, nature centre (see below for opening times), ice well, formal gardens and wildflower meadows.
The site is also home to BEECHE (Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms) which is an education and visitor centre offering environmental education to schools in term time and opens as a visitor and information centre on weekends (11am - 4pm) and during school holidays (Monday,Wednesday, Friday 1:30pm - 4pm).
BEECHE (Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms) has two large teaching rooms with cloakroom and toilet facilities and is fully accessible. We have 2 qualified teachers specialising in ecology and environmental science who deliver a range of interesting and enjoyable activities in the outdoor environment. They can also give advice on environmental issues and teaching resources and can deliver in-service training either on site or within your school.
