Smiths Row

Smiths Row is a contemporary art gallery working with artists to create exhibitions, public art projects and a strong educational programme of activity in Suffolk. We are based at the heart of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds. The Gallery is also the main centre for contemporary craft in the East and works closely with makers and craft organisations across the UK.

The Gallery is a registered educational charity and brings high quality contemporary art and craft by UK and International artists to audiences across West Suffolk. As well as curating exhibitions at the main Gallery, we run educational projects for people of all ages and backgrounds at Smiths Row Two in Cornhill Walk Shopping Centre in Bury St Edmunds. Beyond the town we also work in community venues in the neighbouring areas of Barningham, Stowmarket, Ingham and Moreton Hall.
