LIMEWHARF

LimeWharf is a Hackney based cultural innovation hub and artistic laboratory on Regent’s Canal.

Located in the heart of East London’s creative quarter on Vyner Street, this innovative and experimental centre welcomes both artists and scientists to collaborate in residencies, think tank gatherings and stimulating exhibitions.

Founded by creative radical Thomas Ermacora, the space aims to engage with the public and local communities through a series of participatory exhibitions and sensory events tackling various and diverse topics ranging from DIY ethics and sustainable practises to cutting-edge technologies.

In early 2014, Ermacora will open a maker space to host incubation sessions for open source design solutions using distributed manufacturing applicable in developing contexts.

CCTVYLLE™: Exhibition & Comic Book launch

Opening View : Thursday 24 July 6:00-9:00pm
Soundscape event with Alex Smoke : Saturday 26 July 6:00-9:00pm

This unique exhibition presents the launch of a vision through comic, multimedia and visual arts at those points where they intersect, interact and overlap - exposing the extremities behind control and illuminating an imaginative exploration of the future of surveillance and the systematic, ruthless misuse of technology.

The exhibition CCTVYLLE features a selection of original, large scale artworks spanning 2 years, including works from CCTVYLLE founder, award-winner Gianluca Bonomo (Channel4 FourDocs, UAL, Imogen Heap) and fellow collaborators Salvatore Porcaro (Bonelli Editors), Chanon Treenet (CosmoLeigh), Diego Blanda (VV Publisher), and Natale Cracchiolo (Im*Media). Works from Sound partner Alex Smoke (Incommunicado, 2005 and Paradolia, 2006) will also be included in this multimedia exhibition.
