Projected Picture Trust Logo

The wanton destruction of projectors and related professional film equipment prompted in 1978, a few like minded preservationists to form The Projected Picture Trust (PPT). The aims were to not only locate the equipment being destroyed, but to renovate, preserve and exhibit it for the enjoyment of the public. In other words, they wanted to preserve the magic of cinema.

The PPT, has a base at Bletchley Park which is both an operational 1940's style independent cinema alongside a museum displaying a range of cinema technology - from full size 35mm & 70mm to smaller 8mm and 16mm gauge projectors.
