The Turbulent Tale of Henry Beaufort

On 15th May, 1464. The Battle of Hexham and capture and execution of Henry, Third Duke of Somerset in Hexham Market Place.

On the anniversary of the Battle Hexham Heritage unwrap the life and death of the Duke-leading Lancastrian general of the Wars of the Roses, in a three act event.

Early music ensemble LYRA tells the story of this fascinating young man.
