One of Norfolk's network of community libraries, which has something for everyone and is free to join. You can borrow books, CDs, computer games and DVDs, and return them to any library. Bring children to a range of story, rhyme and activity sessions, and don't forget that we have computers in all libraries that you can use for free.

Norfolk at the Pictures

Do you remember visits to the cinema, where it was, what you saw and with whom? Maybe you worked in a cinema?

Norfolk at the Pictures would love to hear your memories. There will be an illustrated talk, plus refreshments.

The Fakenham Community Archive will also be present with photographs of the town as it was in past times.

Fakenham Town and the Gas Works

  • 14 May 2015 6:30-9pm

An illustrated talk by the Museum of Gas and Local History on the importance of gas to Fakenham to be followed by a short walk to the Gas Works for a ceremonial lighting of the gas lamp and ending with a reading of Robert Louis Stevenson's poem The Lamplighter.
