Bring children to a range of story, rhyme and activity sessions, and don't forget that we have computers in all libraries that you can use for free.

Snapper the Puppet

Memories of a Conflict: Fakenham during the Second World War

Between 2 and 3 pm, see the Puppet School and their Muppet Puppets tell the story of ‘Snapper’ and his friends from West Runton, who try to solve ‘The Mystery of Mystery Mist’. Beware, Black Shuck, the big black ghost dog may be there!

Fakenham Library will host a free illustrated talk by Dr. Mike Bridges on how the town coped during World War Two and the evidence which remains today. There will also be the opportunity to meet a 'World War Two Soldier' and talk to the Timetrippers. The Fakenham Community Archive will be at the Library with folders of photographs of Fakenham's History.

This will be followed by a guided walk through the town to the Fakenham Museum of Gas & Local History, where the ceremonial lighting of the gas lamp will take place.
