Harefield library is a small community lending library with a collection of fiction and non-fiction books for children, teenagers and adults, DVDs and audiobooks for borrowing as well as free computer use.
Being newly refurbished in 2009 the facilities are modern, comfortable with new computers including PC's and iMacs, as well as Starbucks refreshments.
There is also a large meeting room for hire adjacent to and managed by Harefield Library.

Come Travel the World with Jonathan Tindale

Respected travel writer Jonathan Tindale visits Harefield Library to tell us a bit about his global adventures and his book 'Squashed Possums' - all about his unusual and sometimes hilarious misadventures in New Zealand.
Squashed Possums is the story of the iconic New Zealand lone caravan and one young man's misadventures in New Zealand's most remote corner. Find out what it's like to live in a true wilderness, with nothing but the four tin walls of a solitary caravan for company and shelter. In an unexpected twist to the travel memoir, the story is narrated by the caravan itself.

Casting the Runes - Two Ghost Stories by M R James

Special Storytime with the Author!

Christine Roberts, author of popular children's book 'The Very Shy Picture Book' comes especially to Harefield Library to read it to children at Storytime! She might even sign a few books for you too.
This event is free and there is no booking required however please note that note that children aged 7 and under must be directly supervised by a parent or carer during the activity.
How to get Published - A Workshop for Teens
