The Society for Curious Thought was founded in 2008 by the writer Simon Marriott. It contains articles, images and videos based around curious thinking in the fields of arts, science, politics, experiences, the environment and fiction. Notable contributors include Stephen Bayley, Stephen Berkoff and Aung San Suu Kyi
In 2010 The Society for Curious Thought launched a residency program giving the successful applicant the opportunity to spend three weeks in a cabin in rural England working on the subject of their choosing. The first residency was completed by Alice Myers.
