Coughton Court is a beautiful Tudor house set in 25 acres of landscaped gardens in Alcester, Warwickshire. Through its rich and varied history, the house has witnessed some of the most defining moments in British history – from the court of Henry VIII to the Gunpowder plot of 1605.

The grounds of Coughton Court are managed by the family, while the house is currently managed by the National Trust. Clare McLaren-Throckmorton inherited the estate in 1992 and, together with her daughter, garden designer Christina Williams, has devoted the past 17 years to developing what is now one of the finest gardens in Britain.
