The New Forest Centre houses a museum of the New Forest, a temporary exhibition gallery, a reference library and shop. We run an education service that caters to local schools and a lifelong learning programme of exhibitions and events.

The New Forest Centre is owned and managed by the New Forest Ninth Centenary Trust, a registered independent charity. Reg no: 279373

Opening hours

The New Forest Museum, the New Forest Gallery and the Museum Gift Shop are open daily 10am - 5pm April to October and 10am - 4pm November to March (last admission 30 minutes before closing).

The Christopher Tower Reference Library is open to the public, stewarded by volunteers, at the following times:
Wednesdays 10.00am - 4.00pm
Fridays 10.00am - 12.30pm (Closed Friday 1 January 2016)
Please note that outside of these times the library can be accessed by appointment with seven days notice.

We are closed all day Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
