The Roald Dahl Museum is a great little family Museum, situated in Great Missenden, the Buckinghamshire village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years.

The Museum, aimed at 6 to 12 year olds, features three hands-on galleries and is home to the Roald Dahl archive. Boy gallery looks at Roald Dahl's school days while Solo gallery houses his original Writing Hut. The Story Centre puts your imagination centre-stage with fantabulous Roald Dahl workshops and events to inspire the writer in you.

Billy and the Minpins exhibition

Quentin Blake exhibition: Billy and the Minpins

Almost 40 years after his first collaboration with Roald Dahl, Quentin Blake was asked to illustrate Billy and the Minpins, Roald’s last story. This exhibition unites a selection of prints from Quentin’s brand-new drawings with extracts copied from Roald’s original manuscripts for the book: two heroes of the imagination together again.

Craft workshop at the Roald Dahl Museum

Mideous Masks

Learn about the buzzwangling beasts that Roald Dahl wrote about before making your own beastly mask to take home.

Event details
Times: 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm

Cost: £3 per participant. Adults are welcome to pay to make their own. Price does not include Museum entry which you will also need to book to take part in the workshop.

Age: suitable for 4+ years. Under 8s will need to be accompanied by an adult (no more than two non-participating adults will be allowed in the room per group). Participating children aged 2 to 4 years will still need to pay.

Type of workshop: craft workshop - you might get messy! All materials will supplied.

Booking: you can book Museum entry and workshops online up until 4.30pm the day before (subject to availability). Workshop options will appear after selecting your Museum admission.
