Winkworth today is most famous for its autumn colour. Boldly arranged masses of mountain ashes, whitebeam and maples bring splashes of russet and gold to the valley landscape. But the Winter Garden, the magnolias, cherries, azaleas, bluebells and summer-flowering shrubs ensure a continuity of stunning colour and interest throughout the year. Winkworth boasts two lakes and a boat-house; a hillside woodland; an award-winning collection containing over 1,000 different shrubs and trees - many of which are rare; and wildlife in abundance.

Father's Day at Winkworth
Join us for Father's Day and stroll through the Garden. Our Tea room will be open for hot lunches and afternoon teas. Light lunches,tea and cakes throughout the afternoon until 5pm. Fathers get in free to the arboretum when accompanied by their children.
