The south front of Leith Hill Place, Dorking, Surrey (Now open to the public)

Woodland and open heath with Leith Hill Tower commanding extensive views. The highest point in south-east England, the hill is crowned by an 18th-century Gothic tower, with panoramic views northwards to London and the English Channel to the south. There are colourful displays of rhododendrons and bluebells in May and June. Rugged countryside provides exhilarating walking in woodland and over heathland and farmland.

Architectural History of Leith Hill Place

Local historian, Pat Newberry, gives a fascinating and engaging insight into the origins of the house from the 1600s to today.

This talk is informal and no tickets are required, but as a courtesy to the speaker and other visitors, we would prefer you stay for the duration of the talk. you may ask questions at the end of the talk.
