The Garden was the Pleasure Grounds for Dukes, Duchesses, Princesses, Kings and Queens that lived in the Mansion. Now it is a 49 acre, 18th century landscape Garden offering peace and tranquillity in safe surroundings together with a level pathway around the serpentine lake and a unique turf amphitheatre. Visit Claremont and experience its beautiful and often surprising features, including the Belvedere Tower, Camellia Terrace, ‘wild’ animal statues and grotto.

Guided tours for booked groups (min. 15) £1 extra per person. Unbooked tours 1st and 3rd Sat, 2nd Wed and last Sun of each month from April to Oct, 2pm at entrance kiosk.

Open Air Theatre - As You Like It

All the worlds a stage With warring brothers, clowns, comic peasants, romance, death threats, escape and even a wrestling match there is something for everyone here. This is one of Shakespeares most beloved comedies containing some of his most memorable lines. Let the players whisk you away to the forest court of the exiled Duke of Arden.Sit down and feed, and welcome to our table.

National Gardens Scheme Day

Garden is open in aid of the NGS with a FREE Guided Walk with one of the Gardens Team. Learn how we look after our garden, and pick up some useful tips for yours. The garden is open in support of the National Gardens Scheme and all entrance money will be donated towards the charity it supports. FREE Guided Walk at 2pm with a member of the Claremont Garden Team.
