Grade I listed garden, extensive woodlands and Italianate mansion. This spectacular estate overlooking the River Thames has a series of gardens, each with its own character, featuring topiary, statuary, water gardens, a formal parterre, Octagon temple, informal vistas, woodland and riverside walks. The present house, the third on the site, was built by Charles Barry for the Duke of Sutherland in 1851. Once the home of Nancy, Lady Astor, it is now let as an hotel and is open only on certain days.

Springtime Tree Climbing with the Big Tree Climbing Company
Coordinated by the Big Tree Climbing Company, have fun in the trees at Cliveden. Explore the canopy and have a go at tree climbing, a zip wire and a rope swing! Fun for all the family. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.Each session is 30 minutes long. Please book your session in advance, either online or via the Box Office.

Spend an exclusive spring evening at Cliveden and experience something very special. On arrival, enjoy a cool glass champagne followed by this intimate guided walk with an expert gardener to see the garden in all its spring glory. Take in the sights of the spectacular planting on the Parterre and in the Long Garden. Finish in the Orangery for a delicious two course home-cooked National Trust supper with one glass of wine.
