Art-AI Festival

  • 30 April — 13 May 2018

Art-AI is a two week festival taking place at Phoenix and Highcross exploring the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in arts through a programme of creative work including installations, performances and discussions.

Today, Artificial Intelligence is everywhere – and yet virtually invisible to us. So what is AI, and why should we care?

This festival brings together a range of work – from installations and talks to films and live performance – to tackle this question, exploring the creative uses of this technology and speculating on what it means for our future.

Developed and curated by Dr Tracy Harwood, of the Institute of Creative Technologies at De Montfort University, Luba Elliott, an independent AI arts curator, Chris Tyrer, Digital Arts manager at Phoenix and Tina Barton, Community Manager at Highcross Shopping Centre.
