Friends of Embassy Court

The aim of the Friends is to raise awareness of the architectural status of Embassy Court and to help restore it to its former glory and re-establish it as Brighton's most important 20th century building. The Friends wish to preserve Embassy Court as an architectural landmark and make it a place for Brighton residents and visitors to access information about the building and modern architecture, and appreciate Wells Coates' innovative vision for seaside living. The Friends believe that Brighton's Embassy Court could become a centre for events, lectures and exhibitions about Modernism and are investigating innovative ideas for public use within the building. Potential projects include the reinstatement of original architectural features that will be open to public view. Another ambition is the development of spaces within Embassy Court for public uses such as an archive, exhibition room, an authentically restored and furnished flat, performance space, meeting room and associated gift shop and café.
