Cockburn Association (Edinburgh Civic Trust)

The Cockburn Association campaigns to: conserve and enhance Edinburgh’s landscape and historic and architectural heritage; encourage exciting and innovative design for new buildings which are sympathetic to their surroundings; encourage the appropriate and sustainable use of land in and around the City, and protect Edinburgh’s unique city centre; protect Edinburgh's open spaces and Green Belt from encroaching and unsuitable development;
encourage the development and proper use of transport systems; encourage greater interest and involvement in planning.
