Fulford Battlefield Society formed to raise funds for research, to preserve the battle site and promote the Battle of Fulford to a wider audience. The battle took place 5 days before Stamford bridge and a few eeks before the clash at Hastings.
The site has been relatively undisturbed sine 1066 and has excellent access by all forms of transpoort and is served by extensive public rights-of-way.
