The Local Studies Library is a reference collection of information about Derbyshire. In addition to books about the county we have periodicals, newspapers, maps and illustrations. In the Library we also have resources for family history of local and national interest including free access to the Ancestry website. Computers and microfilm readers are available for public use and can be booked in advance. We operate an enquiry service by phone, e-mail, or letter. Family history enquiries are charged at £8.50 for half an hours research.
