The Wakefield office holds records of the former West Riding and West Yorkshire County Councils, their predecessors and successors, records of Wakefield Metropolitan Council, Wakefield Diocese, West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police, the West Riding Asylum and many other hospital records, coroners, magistrates and other public bodies, British Waterways, records of local business and industry, schools, charities, clubs and societies, families and individuals.
