Stockport Library and Information Service

We encourage access to and exploitation of a huge collection of lending and information stock for users at 16 libraries throughout the Stockport area.
We also promote and support the use of our People's network computer facilities.
Our four key commitments are the provision of high quality information and advice, supporting learners of all ages and abilities, delivering real cultural impact through the promotion of books and reading and ensuring access for all.
Central Library houses two different departments: the Lending Library and the Local Heritage Library.
There are branch libraries at Adswood and Bridgehall, Bramhall, Bredbury, Brinnington, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Edgeley, Great Moor, Hazel Grove, Heald Green, The Heatons, High Lane, Marple, Offerton and Reddish.
The Home Library Service delivers books and other items to people unable to visit our libraries and to their full time carers. To find out more please ring 0161 474 5600 or email homelibraryservice@stockport.gov.uk.
